YOUNG, Evelyn Nelson

Evelyn Nelson Young, 87 of Radford, passed away Monday, January 16, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wm. Martin and Jolittey Nelson, her husband, Ottie E. Young, a daughter, Joie Lee Cametas, a son, David Boogie Young, a brother, John Nelson, and three sisters, Estelle James, Mae Gilman and Willie Bell Hodges.

Survivors include two daughters, Frankie Tate of Roanoke; Peggy Epperly of Radford; one son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Linda Young of Radford; special daughter-in-law, Shirley Young of Radford; a brother, Sam McDaniel of Radford; a sister, Lois Hamblin of Roanoke; twelve grandchildren, Melissa McMahon, Rod Epperly, Heath Young, Ottie Young, Jeanette Coley, Renee Lima, Beverly Carr, Cindy Crawford, Gus Cametas, Stefan Cametas, Nicky Cametas, Krista Jones, twenty five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 19, 2006 at Belview United Methodist Church with Rev. Aaron Fitch and Pastor Jerry Ottey officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mullins Funeral Home.
