Wright, Louise Harden

Louise Harden Wright, 71, of Lake Ridge Road, Pulaski, lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, October 14, 2006 in the Pulaski Community Hospital.

She retired from Volvo after 18 years of service. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, Pulaski, an active member of the choir and served on many other committees.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Harden and a sister, Thelma Stuart. Surviving are her husband, Beauford Wright of Pulaski; son, Lee Waller of Roanoke; two stepchildren, Dennis Wright of Wytheville and Karen Langley of Walkertown, N.C.; sisters and spouses, Helen Cooper of Wytheville, Julia and Roy Groseclose of Wytheville, Leona Porter of Wytheville and Charlotte and Gordon Johnson of Vinton; four step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; seven sisters-in-law; also Linda Cline, Kim and Lindsey, who brought lots of joy to her and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Philip Moran and the Rev. Jim Linkous officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Rural Retreat. Visiting will be on Tuesday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
