Wingo, Carolyn Howard
Carolyn Sue Howard Wingo, 72, of Blacksburg, passed into Jesus’ waiting arms on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Dorothy Howard, brothers, Emory Howard and David Howard.
Carol was a 1971 graduate of Blacksburg High School. She worked at Poly-Scientific (Moog) for 35 years and had many special friends. She was known as the queen of genealogy for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie Wingo, sons, Michael Hypes (Tina), Jason Wingo (April), Duane Wingo (Karen), grandchildren, Kimber Wingo, Michael Hypes, Sydney Wingo, River Wingo, Colt Wingo, MaKenzie King, Abi, Ana, Chase Martin, sister, Darlene Shaver, brother, Delmer Howard, special friend, Kathy Snidow.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Richard Gilbert and Pastor Leon Alley officiating. Interment will be held privately in the Wingo Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10-11:00 am prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
