Windle, Annie Marie Goad

Annie Marie “Beatsie” Windle passed away April 14, 2006 at her part-time residence in Aberdeen, Md. She was born in Hiwassee, Va., the daughter of the late Toney A. Goad and Mary Francis Wright Goad and daughter-in-law of the late William Frank Windle and Mary Gladys Cole all of Draper.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers Charlie Goad, Elmer Goad and Elmer Gene Goad of Havre de Grace, Md., T. Alvin Goad of Mechanicsville, Va., Anthony Harold and his wife, Patricia Goad of Pulaski, William Preston Goad of Bristol, Va.; sister, Mary Francis Goad; brothers-in-law, L. A. Tolbert of Dublin, Va., Arnold Windle and his wife, Mary Desmond-Windle of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sidney M. Tolbert of Dublin, Oscar Windle and his wife, Deloris Coffee-Windle of St. Louis, Mo., Raymond Windle and wife, Lillian Windle of Dyersburg, Tenn., Ellen Windle-Horton of Bridgeton, N.J., Thelma Windle-Adams of Draper,Va.; son-in-law, Joseph Bigham, Sr., and great grandsons, Jeromy and Jared Taylor.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William F. Windle, Sr. ;three daughters, Nancy Taylor, Linda Woodie, Teresa Irvin; two sons, William F. Windle, Jr., Terry Windle; sons-in-law, John Taylor Edward Woodie, Howard Irvin, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Judith Brown Windle; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Davis-Tolbert Dublin,Va., Mrs. Iris Chumbley, Bluefield.Va.; three brothers, Robert Goad, Draper, Elwood Goad, Radford, Thomas Goad, Oxford, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nellie Goad, Havre de Grave, Md., Mrs. Joyce Goad, Oxford, Pa.,Mrs. Gladys Goad, Mechanicsville, Mrs. Elsie Goad, Bristol, Mrs. Vivian Goad, Radford, Mrs. Kitty Tolbert, Dublin, Mrs. Ethel Duncan, Radford; one brother-in-law, David Chumbley, Bluefied; she has twelve grandchildren, John Taylor, Jr, Clayton Taylor, Shawn Woodie, Edward Woodie, Scott Woodie, Tonia Justice, Michelle Dill, Joseph Bigham, Jr. and wife, Margaret Baker- Watson, Terry Windle, Jr., Brandon Windle, Jill Beth Lynch, and William Windle III; four step-grandchildrenf Howard Irvin Jr., April Burns, Leah Baldwin, and Roy Watson; fifteen great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; 42 nieces and nephews and extended Goad, Wright, Jarrols, Cole Windle family members.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Frankie Graham, Pastor Tony Hodge and Pastor Richard Hutchison officiating. Interment will follow at Draper’s Valley Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Wythe County. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
