Williams, Nancy Carter

Nancy Carter Williams, 85 of Pearisburg, Virginia departed this life May 12, 2024 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital. Born in Virginia on September 4, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Brown and Lucille Stevers Carter.

Nancy was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother. This is where her priorities and heart first lied. She also enjoyed her time in toiling with her gardens and seeing the beloved results that came. She also found her contentment and some joy vacationing at the beach with her family.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Leroy Williams; her cherished daughters, Dianne Williams Linkous, and Gail Thompson; brother, Coy Carter; and sisters, Judy Sage, Mammie Meadows, and Connie Neice.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her beloved son, Jeffrey Williams (Donnetta); grandchildren, Renee Shack, Jamie Thompson, Shane Williams (Angela), Micanna Harrell (Austin), JR Linkous, Logan Snider (Autumn), and Kelsey Snider (Alisha); 6 great-grandchildren; and sister Dolly Martin (Jimmy).

There will be a time of visitation with family and friends on Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in Kendall Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Poff officiating. Funeral services will conclude at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg, Virginia where she will be laid to rest.
