Williams, Janetta Bragg

amem_hummingbird.jpgJanetta Bragg Williams, 73, of Narrows, went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born January 13, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Addison Grimes Bragg and Janie Mae Spicer Bragg. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Williams, and a sister, Agnes Gillespie.

She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed making handmade crafts, and loved to shop.

She is survived by one son, Chucky and Vanessa Williams of Narrows; a daughter, Viola Jane Williams of Narrows; a brother, Bill Bragg of Pence Springs, West Virginia; a sister, Charlotte Fannin of Glen Lyn; three grandsons, Jacob Williams, Hairston Williams, and Caleb Williams; several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly; and special friends Elizabeth Lucas, Colleen Coburn and Helen Blankenship.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows with Pastor David Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Angel’s Rest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider either Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church or the Giles County Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society.
