Whitley, Ann Lee

Ann Lee Whitley, 93, of Blacksburg, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin G. and Ellen Ray Lee; her son, Dirk C. Whitley.

Survivors include her grandchildren, David and Linda Whitley and greatgranddaughter, Erica Whitley; Jane and David Contis and their children, Alex, Andrew and Elena; Tom and Julie Whitley and their children, Matthew and Kyle; niece, Ellen L. Harkrader and husband, Gary and their son, Chap; Stephen French Rowe and wife, Karen; David S. Rowe and wife, Tina and their children, Kristen and Stephanie; and a very special friend, Jane Maclachlan.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, 701 Church Street, Blacksburg, Va. The Whitley Family is being served by Horne Funeral & Cremation Service, Christiansburg, 382-2612.
