Weeks, Roger C.

Roger C. (Hawk) Weeks, 45, of Elliston, Va., went home to Heaven on Thursday, April 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Weeks; and his mother, Mary Jane Green Weeks.

He retired after 22 years of service with the City of Salem. He was known to his family and friends as an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, work in his yard and most of all help others.

Surviving are his sisters, Bonny Aesy and Terry Weeks; brother, Richard “Denny” Weeks and wife, Kathy; many loving nieces, nephews; and extended family members and friends too numerous to mention.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Heartland Hospice, 2800 Electric Road, Suite 105-C, Roanoke, VA 24018.

A celebration of Hawk’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory, 540-366-0707.
