WEBB, Joanne Richardson

Joanne Richardson Webb, 83, of Pulaski, died Tuesday morning, August 8, 2006 in Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center.

She was born October 13, 1922 in Marion, Va., and was the daughter of the late Mary Frances Williams Richardson and John Richardson. Mrs. Webb was retired from the Y.M.C.A. having worked with many children over the years in the day care center, and was a member of the First Christian Church, Pulaski (Disciples of Christ). In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Estel Edward Webb.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry E. Webb and his wife, Dale of Richmond, and W. Rex Webb and his wife, Sharon of Pulaski; one daughter, Vicki W. Rhett and her husband, Charles of Pulaski; two brothers, John Richardson of Richmond, and George Ben Gose of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Sue Fulmer of Summerfield, Fla. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Tommy S. Webb, Jeremy Rhett, Kelly W. Rhett, Justin E. Webb, Bradley Webb, Mallory Webb, Brittani Webb and Brandon Webb; and four great-grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Doris W. Vordo of Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Randy Winn officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime Thursday after 4 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorials in Mrs. Webb’s memory to the First Christian Church 524 N. Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski, Virginia 24301. The family will also be meeting at the home of Charles and Vicki Rhett, 137 10th St., N.W., Pulaski.
