WARDEN, Mildred King

Mildred King Warden, 86, of Thaxton Road, Pulaski, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006. After a separation of six years, the Lord has called Mildred to rejoin her husband, Melvin, in heaven. Melvin preceded her into heaven in the year 2000. She will also be greeted by her parents, David and Bernice King, three sisters, Elva Runyon, Polly Whitaker and Buleuh King, and two brothers, Bill King and John King. Melvin and Mildred were lifetime members of the First Christian Church of Pulaski, Va. She is survived by one nephew and four nieces.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randy Winn officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Sunday at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. The family wishes that memorials be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 524 N. Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski, Va. 24301.
