WALKER, Connor Douglas

Connor Douglas Walker, infant son of John C. and Dawn Myers Walker, received his angel wings on Friday, August 4, 2006. He was born May 23, 2006 and quickly became a joy to all those around him. He became our “little miracle” as each day he bravely surpassed another challenge of this world. Our time with him here on earth has left us with many memories and we look forward to the time when we will reunite again in heaven. Jesus has provided us with a beautiful guardian angel named Connor.

Left here to miss his angelic face are his parents; a brother, Peyton Andrew Walker of the home; paternal grandfather and his friend, Johnny Lee Walker and Carol Akers of Floyd; paternal grandmother and her husband, Wanda Linkous and Thomas, Jr. McCraw of Dublin; paternal great-grandparents, Louise and Howard Walker of Radford; maternal grandparents, George and Carolyn Bishop of Portsmouth, OH; maternal grandfather, Alan J. Myers of Portsmouth, OH; aunts and uncles, George and Mandy Bishop, James and Jennifer Bishop, Tracy and Jamie Walker, Travis and Jennifer Pritchard, Rochelle Myers Ball and Alan J. Myers, Jr.; cousins, Jacob and Ethan Bishop, Patrick Burchfield, Brittany Walker, Justin Pritchard and Kayla Ball; and a special great aunt, Joyce Rickey.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The Walker family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
