Wade, Ritchie Lee Fugate

Ritchie Lee Fugate Wade, 84, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church and was a retired teacher after 37 years of service most of which were spent in the Radford School System. She received her Bachelor’s Degree and her Master’s Degree from Radford College.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde McNeil and Flora Sprinkle Fugate. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Robert Graham Wade of Radford; a sister, Laura Jean Culbertson of Pennington Gap; and a nephew, Barry Lynn Culbertson of Nashville, Tenn.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Radford with the Rev. John McCandlish officiating. Her ashes will be scattered in the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Gardens. The family requests that no flowers be sent. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Garden Fund, 205 Harvey St., Radford, Va. 24141. The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Tuesday in the church fellowship hall.
