Teresa Lynn Burton Trinkle, age 40 of Blacksburg, died Friday December 1, 2006 in Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

She was born November 9, 1966 in Bartow, Florida, and was the daughter of the late Brenda Burton Perdue. She was a former student of Pulaski County High School, a graduate of New River Community College, and a graduate of The Pamplin Business School at Virginia Tech.

She was a Staff Accountant for Moog Components in Blacksburg. She was the treasurer of the Montgomery County Democratic Committee, and also a member in the Virginia Society for Certified Public Accountants.

Many of Teresa’s accomplishments were achieved despite her having to be a heart transplant recipient in 1996. All acquainted with her refer to her as one of the kindest, sweetest, and most generous hearts they have ever known.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Alan Trinkle of Blacksburg; two daughters, Faith Nichole Cox and Natasha Renee Cox both Blacksburg; one brother, Michael Wayne Ayers of N.C.; two sisters, Deona (Dee) Berrier of N.C., and Katana Marie Waters of N.C.; one aunt, Patricia Mae Cox of Dublin; and one uncle, Larry Burton of Dublin.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday December 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery with the Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in Teresa’s memory to the American Heart Association P.O.
