Stump, Lillian Delores

Lillian Delores Stump, 90, of Newport, died Monday, January 9, 2006 at Riverview Nursing Home. She was born in Craig County, Va. on September 19, 1915 to the late Robert and Delia Duncan Hypes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Lewis Stump.

She is survived by two daughters, Juanita Mullins of Tulsa, Okla., Jeannie Wilkins of Vinton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Claudine Stump, Donnie and Sylvia Stump, Ralph and Vickie Stump, and Kenny Stump, all of Newport; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a special great-greatgranddaughter, Debbie Vaught of Blacksburg; and special caregiver, Claudine Stump.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Riverview Nursing Home for their kind and loving care provided to Mrs. Stump.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 13, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery, Craig, County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newport Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 144, Newport, Va. 24128 or the Newport Fire Department, 716 Blue Grass Trail, Newport, Va. 24128.

Friends may call anytime Thursday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
