Strother, Nancy Elizabeth

On the evening of Dec. 29, 2005 God summoned his angels and lifted Nancy Elizabeth Strother to her eternal home.

Nancy was born in Bluefield, W. Va. on Mar. 30, 1936 to the late Bob and Sadie Strother. She grew up in Dublin and attended Calfee Elementary Training School in Pulaski. Nancy attended church at Faith Temple United Holy Church and Showers of Blessing Church of God in Christ in Dublin.

Nancy was a resident of Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blacksburg for 16 years where she was a “help mate” to other residents. Nancy “helped” the staff whenever possible.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two aunts, Leona Strother and Alva Thompson; a brother, Warren Strothers; two Goddaughters and three Godsons, a host of cousins, family, friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, visitation will be one hour before service at Showers of Blessing Church of God in Christ, Dublin.
