Eugene Clifford Spicer “Eukey”, 81, of Fletchers Mt Road, Narrows, departed this life peacefully at his home in the loving care of his family Monday morning, July 10, 2017.

He was born in Narrows on March 27, 1936, a son of the late Willie Albert and Ercell Keffer Spicer. He was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Pearisburg, was retired from National Gypsum Co. Gold Bond Plant, had previously worked at the L&M Tannery at Bluff City and later as a brick mason. He was preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Farley, his 2 grandchildren Luzon Farley and Courtney Spicer, 1 great-grandchild Sadie Agnor, .his parents, three brothers and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 60 years, Polly Ann Farley Spicer; his six children and their spouses Fuzzy and Angie Farley of Pembroke, Commodore and Karen Spicer of Appomattox, Jerry and Sheila Spicer of Narrows, Gail and Ken Duncan of Narrows, Kevin Spicer of Narrows, Jason and Sue Spicer of Narrows, his 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild, and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 2:00 pm, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Memory Gardens near his home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from six until eight pm.
