Smith, Clarice Cox

Clarice Cox Smith, 88, of Indian Valley, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Zachary Tyler and Eliza Ellen Reed Cox; sisters, Ocie Dulaney, Pearle Reed, Rosie Clay, Eulala Dickerson and Ilene Hylton.

Survivors include her husband, Troy E. Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Jeneva Cox, Richard and Helen Cox, and Rickie Cox; three special grandchildren; four very special greatgrandchildren; sisters, Miss Lois Jean Cox and Miss Dorcas Cox; special niece, Wanda Jean Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. James Walker, the Rev. Roy Turpin and the Rev. Kenneth Poston officiating. Interment will follow at Reed Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Hall, Healthcare & Rehabilitation Centers, Resident Aid Accounts, 3610 South Main, Blacksburg, Va. 24060.
