Slusser, Mary Bradley
Mary Bradley Slusser, 69, of Blacksburg, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
She was born in Montgomery County Virginia on December 3, 1936, to the late Robert Henry and Violet Dove Bradley and was also preceded in death by her husband, Pascal Erno Slusser, Sr.; two sons, Roger Lee Slusser and Robert Slusser; one sister Debra Lynn Bradley; three brothers, Robert W. Bradley, Johnny K. Bradley, and Richard C. Bradley.
She was a former employee of Kroger, Wades Supermarket, and A & P. She was also a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Pascal E. “Bud” Jr., and Margaret Slusser, of Christiansburg, Gary D. Slusser and fianc?e, Deborah R. Phelps, of Blacksburg; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Remona B. Vaught of Blacksburg, Lena B. and Norman Naill of Abilene, Texas, Joyce B. and Gary Hollandsworth of Riner, Patsy B. and Alvin Williams of Blacksburg, Bonnie B. and Wilkie Cox of Christiansburg; two sisters-in-law, Iris Bradley of Radford and Edith Bradley of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Tonya Slusser, Joshua Lee Slusser, Jamie Edward Slusser.
The family would like to thank Dr. John White, Dr. Evelyn Parrish, and all of the second floor nurses at Montgomery Regional Hospital for their wonderful care of Mary during her illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claude Dove and the Rev. Leslie Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Tuesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
