Sheppard, Laura Lou

Laura Lou (Toots) Sheppard, 74, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, March 6, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Seldon Sheppard.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and son-in-law, Spring and David Martin of Salem, Janet Cox of Christiansburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Erma Sheppard of Dublin, Johnny and Melody Sheppard of Salem; grandchildren, Angie Gilmore of Christiansburg, Heather Martin of Roanoke, Melissa Sheppard of Dublin, Keith Sheppard of Salem; one great-grandchild, Seldon Gilmore; brother, Jesse Showalter of Floyd; sister, June Trainhan of Richmond.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
