Shelburne, Gladys Kenley

Gladys Kenley Shelburne, 87, of Radford, died Sunday, May 21, 2006 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Lee Shelburne, and a grandson, Jonathan Cole.

Surviving are two daughters, Janice Shirah, and her husband, Gay, of Radford, and Joyce Reese, and her husband, Dennis, of Ruckersville; two sons, Rudolph Shelburne, and his wife, Patricia, and Terry Shelburne, and his wife, Sheila, both of Radford; a brother, Garnett Kenley, and his wife, Ann, of Radford; and five sisters-in-law, Peggy Shelburne, of Pasadena, Texas, Edith Kenley, Alma Shelburne, Eunice Covey, and Gertrude Meredith, all of Radford. Thirteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild also survive along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Laurel Hill Church of Christ with Mr. C.E. Mannon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Laurel Hill Cemetery Fund, c/o Peggy Simpkins, 2257 Lubna Drive, Christiansburg, Va. 24073. DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford, is handling arrangements.
