Roop, Bulah Bain

Bulah Bain Roop, 78, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the New River Valley Medical Center.

She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Russell Apparel. She was born October 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Mark David and Dessie Gray Bain. She was preceded in death by husband, Frazier Eldridge “Bud” Roop.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann and Junior Carroll, and Shirley and Larry Parks, all of Radford; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Ann and Wesley Combs of Shawsville, Patsy Lee and Gayle Adkins of Pulaski, and Nancy E. and Larry Brammer of Radford; a stepson, Frazier Lee Roop of Franklin, W.Va.; one sister, Mildred B. Duncan of Radford; a brother and sister-in-law, Matthew D. and Joanne Bain of Christiansburg; four grandchildren, Keith Carroll, Michael Carroll, David Parks and Steven Parks; and five great-grandchildren, Austin Parks, and Jonathon, Zachary, Matthew, and Skyler Carroll.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 525 Commerce St., Pulaski, Va. 24301.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
