Roop, Angela Martin

Angela Martin Roop, 42, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2006.

Angela attended Narrows High School and New River Community College where she received several certificates in the nursing field. She was previously employed by the New River Dialysis Center in Radford where she worked as a Patient Care Technician. All the patients in her care had great fondness for her and she for them.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Phyllis Martin. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Stephen Roop, Radford; father, Lawrence L. Martin, Madison Heights, Va.; mother and stepfather, Hazel M. and Bill Fisher, Narrows; daughter, Amber Michelle Martin; son, Benjamin Curtis Roop; special grandson, William Lawrence Cooper, “Granny’s Angel”, all of the home; twin brother, Andrew Leigh Martin, Spencer, N.C.; sisters, Lisa M. Emily, Locust Grove, Ga., Janet “Rere” Martin, New London, N.C.; special sister, Alice Turner, Madison Heights; brother, Larry Wayne Martin, Salisbury, N.C.; grandmother, Annie McDaniel, Narrows; mother-in-law, Mary Collins Roop; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many family and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the CCU of Carilion New River Valley Medical Center for the care given to Angela.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
