Robertson, Virginia Dickerson

Virginia Irene Dickerson Robertson, 89, of Willis, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006. She was a WW II Veteran in the Women’s Army Corp.

She was preceded in death by a son; Larry W. Robertson. Survivors include son, Barry L. Robertson Galax, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ward Reece Willis, Va.; grandchildren, Melin Kenny and husband Larry Galax, Va., Eric Reece and wife Sonya Floyd, Va., Anthony Dale Robertson, Laurel Fork, Va.; sister, Margaret Hylton Bahama, N.C., Ruby Turman Salem, Va.; four great-children.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Elmon Thompson and the Rev. Joe Quesenberry officiating and Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post # 1115. Interment will follow at the Dickerson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Maberry Funeral Home.
