Reed, Frances Joanne

Frances Joanne (Jo) Reed, 58, of Riner, Va., went to be with the Lord and her family on Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born on October 11, 1951, in Montgomery County, Va., to the Late Sylvas and Mary Frances Bishop Reed.

She was employed as a warehouse specialist at Radford University. She was very understanding and always there for anybody, especially her family.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Mary Amanda Reed, of Christiansburg, Va., Jacob Sidney Reed, of Blacksburg, Va., and Dakota Lane Sidney (Kodee) Reed, of Blacksburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Pamela Jean Reed, of Blacksburg, Va.; aunts and uncles, Ila Belle Reed, of Blacksburg, Va., Robert Bishop and wife, Robin, of Radford, Va., and Lois Wright, of Blacksburg, Va.; cousin, Patricia Overfelt, of Blacksburg, Va.; six special angels, Kodee, Cheyanne, Caitlyn, Bonnie, Joey, and Michael; and a niece, Patricia Fizer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
