RATCLIFFE, Lillian P.

Lillian P. Ratcliffe, 87, of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Pulaski Rehabilitation Center, Pulaski. Born September 22, 1918 in Wythe County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Aaron Peak and Matilada King Peake. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Robbie Tuell; three sisters, and five brothers.

She was a loving homemaker and mother that enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was also a Virginia Tech football fan. She will be greatly missed. We would like to thank Dr. Ken Pendergrast and his staff for their excellent care.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Dunnie Ratcliffe, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Susan R. Sowers and Clarence E. Sowers, Riner; granddaughter, Jennifer Vaden and husband, Ricky, Floyd; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel and Amanda; half brother, Jay Peake and wife, Snowdeer, Pulaski; half sister, Mary Lou McKenny, Locust Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Porter Riner officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens , Dublin. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2728 Colonial Ave. Suite 2, Roanoke, Virginia 24015. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling arrangements for the family.
