Rader, Eloise Little

Eloise Little Rader, 78, of Newport, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning July 4, 2006 in Blacksburg, VA. Born on September 11, 1927 at Goodwins Ferry in Giles County she was a daughter of the late Earl O. and Osa Duncan Little.

She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 60 years, Dolan Rader. Eloise dedicated her entire life to caring for her family. She was preceded in death by two sons Stephen Lee and Keith Alan Rader. “Weezie” leaves behind to cherish her many memories her four children: Brenda June and Winfred Snidow of Pembroke, Va, Sharon Fay and Glenn Shrader of Narrows, VA, Joel Dee and Ann Rader of Newport, VA, Brian Ronald and Melanie Rader of Blacksburg, VA.

Maw Maw Weezie was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren: Sherry and Matt Collins of Radford, VA, Debbie Snidow of Pembroke, VA, Kevin Snidow of Radford, VA, Felicia and Todd Kingrea of Etowah, , TN, Shelley and Jerry Williams of Ripplemead, VA, David and Julie Shrader of Peterstown, WV, Jennifer and Donnie Crawford of Narrows, VA, Amanda Rader and Joshua Rader of Newport, VA, Nathan, Hannah, Holly, and Noah Rader of Blacksburg, VA.

Maw Maw Weezie was also the great-grandmother of six great-grandchildren: Brett and Matthew Kingrea, Jeremy Williams, Emily Beaver, Sam and Jaeger Shrader.

Eloise was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy and Billy Little and one sister Nancy Osborne. She shared many childhood memories and many a good laugh with her one surviving sister, Mrs. Delorous Claytor and husband Red of Rich Creek, Va. Eloise was blessed in becoming a part of the wonderful, amusing Rader family.

Surviving in-laws are Donetta Stables, Ft. Mill, SC, Delorous and Wendell Porterfield of Newport, Va, Dolly Bridges of Ft. Pierce, FL, Melita Rader of Blacksburg, VA, Darrell Rader of New Windsor, MD, Robert Litchford of Newport, VA and may loving nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends to visit at the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church 1:00 –3:00 PM on Friday July 7th, 2006. The service will follow at 3:00 PM. with The Rev. John Ward and The Rev. Morris Bennett officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to the Newport-Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Trustees Fund, P.O. Box 133 Newport, Va 24128. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is serving the Rader Family.
