Pendry, Annie Ruth Handy

Annie Ruth Handy Pendry, 95, of Elliston, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of Lafayette Methodist Church for over seventy-five years.

The daughter of the late Ivan and Lucinda Taylor Handy, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orley A. Pendry and ten brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie Travis, Salem, Va., Dorothy Perdue-Lampley and husband, Walter, of Christiansburg, Va. and Rockingham, N.C.; son, Orville Pendry, Elliston, Va.; grandsons, M. Stephen Perdue and wife, Jeannie, Midwest City, Okla., Lee Travis, Calif.; granddaughters, Sandy Graham and Dale, Salem, Va., Sharon Nuckles and husband, Timothy, Danville, Va.; great-greatgrandchildren, four girls and one boy.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening, December 21, 2007 at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Tim Nuckles and Pastor Ben Locklear with interment to follow in Lafayette Cemetery, Elliston, Va.
