Pendleton, Philip Anthony

Philip Anthony Pendleton, 68, native of Franklin County, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11th. He was born on August 31, 1955, to Raymond and Edna Pendleton.

Philip was an avid golfer who also had a passion for softball and baseball. He was a talented musician who could play almost any instrument with a string as well as piano. He attended Franklin County High School and was a proud veteran who was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1977. Philip was a member at Oakland Baptist Church where he regularly used his musical talents.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edna; brothers, Curtis “Sonny” and Jackie Pendleton; sisters, Viva Stanley and Virginia Francine Pendleton. He is survived by his son Andy Pendleton (Jessica); daughters, Karlee Pendleton (Jake) and Jenna Phillips (Casey); grandchildren, Kylee and Aiden Pendleton; brothers, Roger Pendleton (Jen), Danny Pendleton, and Charles Pendleton (Amy); sisters, Mary Lee Star and Bobbie Jean Campbell (Lynwood); and many nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes you to join them for a graveside service on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084) at 10:00am.
