Kingrea, Violet Marie Surratt
Violet Marie Surratt Kingrea, 91, of Pulaski, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015. She was known as Mom, Mud, Granny, Marie, and Aunt Ree. She was born in Pulaski May 12, 1923, and was the daughter of the late David Burton and Nettie O’Dell Burton.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Robert (Bob) Surratt and Garnett (Gene) Kingrea. She was also preceded in death by a son, Michael (Mike) Kingrea; a daughter, Opal (Bonnie) Goines; a grandson, Gregory (Greg) Mickey; a great-grandson, Jeffery Robert Manuel; three brothers, Jack, Marvel, and Buddy Burton; three sisters, Juanita Goad, Eunice Horton Sarver, and Barbara Taylor.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Diane Surratt Manuel Hearndon (Dee) and husband, Paul, Mary Lou (Lou) Sutphin and husband, Allen, John (Buddy) Kingrea, Teresa (Tee) Mickey and husband, Marcus; grandchildren and spouses, Jeff Manuel and wife, Jodi, Mark Sutphin and John Luckado, Matthew Sutphin and wife, Stacey, Crystal Mickey, Angie Goines, Jeremy Kingrea, Cherish Kingrea, and Scott Goines; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; one very special sister, Zenith Taylor, which the family would like to thank and extend their appreciation for her love help and support.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with the Rev. Randall Lawrence and the Rev. Tommy Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in the Thornspring Church Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday from the Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
