Nicholson, Robert Leslie

Robert Leslie Nicholson, 49, of Blacksburg, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy, and a network engineer at Virginia Tech.

He is survived by his parents, Leslie and Helen Nicholson; his wife, Karen Nicholson; stepson, Adam Manning; two sisters, Rebecca Brown and Elaine McBennett; two brothers, John Nicholson and James Nicholson; three nephews; two nieces; and his special companions, his dogs, Shiva and Ralph.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening and Friday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Olen Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery, Floyd, Va.
