Mowles, Robin Annette Houston
On July 7, 2006, at age 47, Robin Annette Houston Mowles was carried by angels from her earthly dwelling and is now in the presence of her Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, where she will never have to endure pain, heartache, or suffering. She will be remembered by many for her smile, laughter, her willingness to care for others and the overwhelming love she had for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daddy, Rev. Thomas Neil Houston. She leaves to mourn, her mother, Velma Wheeler Houston of Salem; one son, Jason W. Houston and companion Mary of Christiansburg; two daughters, Crystal Sampson and husband, R. J., Amanda Mowles and companion Brandan Woolwine, all of Shawsville; three brothers and their spouses, Rev. Rodney D. and Betty Houston of Martinsville, Randall B. and Jackie Houston, Ronald S. and Debbie Houston, both of Vinton; one sister, Rhonda Madden of Christiansburg; four very, very special grandchildren, Alyssa and Camren Sampson, Cymric Woolwine and Seth Bradley; six nephews and three nieces. She is also survived by many other relatives and a special friend, James Rose.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Seneca Baptist Church, 8572 Roanoke Road, Elliston, Va. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2 p.m. at Seneca Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
