James Noah “Pee Wee” Moran, 86 of Floyd, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Craighead Moran; parents, Belva Lee & Lena Hill Moran; son, Samuel David Moran; step-sons, William Nelson Bell and Larry Cliffton Bell; brother, Belva Lee Moran, Jr.; sisters, Vera Radford, Lera Hylton, and Eva Moran.

James served in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his children, James Robert Moran & wife Jima, Steven Kenneth Moran, Carolyn M. Wilson & husband Linwood, Randy Lee Moran & wife Brenda, Linda Moran Steele; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Holland; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hebron Quesenberry and Rev. Jimmy Cannaday officiating. Interment to follow in the Restvale Cemetery with Military Rites by the Floyd V.F.W. Post # 7854 and American Legion Post # 127. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013 and from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
