Virginia Kersey Moore, 92, of Pulaski, Va. died Tuesday morning, May 16, 2006 in the Sands Nursing Home, Wytheville, Va. She was born on June 22, 1913 and was the daughter of the late Thomas W. Kersey and Jennie Hall Kersey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnett S. Moore, a granddaughter, Annette K. Moore, a great-grandson, Hayden Moore, a sister, Violet Crowder and a daughter-in-law, Burley Jean Moore.

Mrs. Moore was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski and worked with her husband in the law office of Moore and Groseclose.

Surviving are: son, Barry S. Moore, Sr., Shiloh; grandchildren, Barry S. Moore, Jr., Shiloh, Alice M. Cappellino, Rockville, Va.; four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Visiting will be Thursday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Hayden Moore or to the Annette K. Moore Memorial Trust, c/o First United Methodist Church, Pulaski, Va.
