Miller, Ophelia H.

The Miller family and friends are mourning the loss of Ophelia (Hoppie) Miller, of Pilot. Ophelia was born on August 24, 1929, in Ashe County, N.C., and went to be with the Lord at the age of 83 on Monday, September 3, 2012, at the NRV Medical Center in Radford. She was a caring, loving woman of faith, a sister in Christ and a wonderful mom, mom-in-law, sister, aunt and granny. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior H. Miller; brothers, Ward and Barney Hopkins; sister, Lois Forrester; daughters, Baby Girl Miller and Margaret Hopkins. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Reva and Robert Arnette; daughter and son-in-law, Glenna and Pete Smith; sons and daughters- in-law, Tommy and Angie Miller, Johnny and Lesa Miller, and George and Lori Miller; eight grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Emma Poff, Richard Hinkley and Ann Cox; and many sisters and brothers in Christ. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2012, at the Bible Holiness Church, South Franklin Street, Christiansburg, with Pastor Dwayne Martin officiating.
