McGuyer, Lela Holcomb

Lela Holcomb McGuyer age 79, Died Thursday, August 31, 2006 at the Radford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 15, 1927 to the late Harold M. and Josie Catron Holcomb in Gratton, Tazewell County, VA. She Retired from RAAP and a lifelong member of the Cambria Baptist Church. She spent many hours working in her daylily garden.

She is survived by a brother and two sisters; Alfred and Francis Holcomb, Richmond, Va, Rosa and Clovis Linkous, Blacksburg, VA, Janice and Ruben Hixon, Christiansburg, Va, daughter, Sharon and husband Trigg Nowlin, Christiansburg; five Grandchildren; Amy and Stephen Marshall, Arlington, TX, Justin Bishop, Christiansburg, Jonathan Nowlin, Clarksburg, WV, Monica Nowlin, Denver CO, Trigg (Marcus) Nowlin, Sheppard AFB, TX, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family extends heart-felt thanks to Dr. Michel Langley and Dr. Kevin Griffin and to the Entire staff of the Radford Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 with service following at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The McGuyer family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg.
