McGuire, Kyle (Benton)

Kyle (Benton) McGuire, 48, of Christiansburg, passed away Friday July 7, 2006, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital due to heart complications. Benton was born in Montgomery County on January 31, 1958 to Kyle and Glada McGuire.

Benton was an army veteran and loved his country.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lacy P. and Alice McGuire and his maternal grandparents, Hubert and Velma Reed and a special son-in-law, Bill Conley.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kyle and Lorraine McGuire of Childress; mother and stepfather, Sam and Glada Luckadoo of Christiansburg; three sisters, Mildred Whitescarver of Christiansburg, Ramona and Kenny Richards of Pilot, and Joyce Bain of Willis; one brother, Darrell McGuire of Roanoke; also to cherish his memory he leaves four grandchildren; four stepbrothers and sisters, Junior and Martha Howard of Riner, Charlie Ray Howard and Melissa of Riner, Mary and Rowland Wright of Pulaski and Betty and Chelsea Harless of Christiansburg; and two special nieces, Jennifer and Janice McGuire.

Benton loved the outdoors and his late friend and pet “Jim Beam.” He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arwood Vaught officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg.
