McCoy, Robert Verlon

Robert Verlon (Pappy) McCoy, 83, of Radford, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at his home. He was a retired employee of Virginia Tech, and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy S. McCoy, Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Flora and Robert Logan, Blacksburg; two daughters, Kristin McCoy and Melissa Vaught, both of Radford; a sister and brother-in-law, Opal and Guy Dunbar, Salem. Five grandchildren, Jared Robertson, Justin Akers, Ricky Burton, Robert Logan III and Makala Albert also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Everett Shepherd and the Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Centenniel Christian Church Cemetery, McCoy. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
