Martin, Thelma Tabor

Thelma Jane Tabor Martin, age 91, of 4853 of Veteran’s Hill Road, Pulaski and formerly of Mt. Olivet died early Saturday morning January 21, 2006 in Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born in Pulaski on April 22, 1914 and was the daughter of the late Charlie Monroe Tabor and Mahala Finn Tabor.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Gay Martin; two sisters, Ruby Queen and Lois Frances Saunders; five brothers, William Lonnie Tabor, Elmer Harley Tabor, Berman Tabor, Clarence Tabor and Ralph Tabor; two sons, Raymond Martin and Hayward Martin; and two daughters, Florence Roseberry and Joan Whitaker.

Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law; three sons and daughters-in-law, sisters, Violet Kennedy and Martha Edwards, both of Pulaski; 26 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dale Akers and Rev. Ernest Chinault officiating. Burial will follow in the Brewer Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Monday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
