Malbon, Ruth J.

Born Ruth Jacqueline Martin on December 10, 1920, in Providence, RI, died peacefully in her home in Blacksburg, Va. on April 19, 2006 after a brief illness.

Her ashes will be interred next to those of her husband of 53 years, Howard C. Malbon, USN, in Arlington National Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her sister Charlotte Martin and her brothers Jack and Richard Martin. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Phyllis Martin, Virginia Turner and Betty Chronopoulos; her son Scott Malbon of Blacksburg; daughter Michele Miller of Coral Springs, Florida, and their families, including four grandchildren and one great grandson.

Her family expresses gratitude to Christ Church, Blacksburg, caregivers, friends, and colleagues for their support, thoughts, and prayers. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
