LUCAS, Charles Everett

Charles Edward Lucas, 72, of Narrows, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2006 at Giles Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 2, 1934 at Narrows. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Lee and Pansy Lee Wall Lucas; and one sister, Christine Dent.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Saunders Lucas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Lisa Lucas, Shiloh, Ill., Charles A. Lucas, Bland; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Millner and Randy Gribble, Tega Cay, S.C., Chrissy and Bryan Frazier, Peterstown, W.Va., Ginger and Bobby Smith, Roanoke; one sister, Eunice Thorne, Narrows; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Narrows Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Jim Hagy and Bryan Frazier officiating. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Narrows. The family will receive friends at the Narrows Church of God of Prophecy on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate.
