Laxton, Lila Phillips

Lila Phillips Laxton, 94, of Riceville, Tenn. formerly of Dublin, passed away on February 29, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover Lee and Laura Alice Montgomery Phillips and her husband, William Burl Laxton.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Nancy L. and John Jones, of Riceville, Tenn.; Marie Shields of Newbern; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with John E. Jones Jr. officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
