Jones, Jesse Allen
Jesse Allen Jones, 29, left us suddenly and tragically, on February 12th, 2024. Jesse was born and raised in the Norris Run area of Montgomery County. He was a country boy through and through and had a heart of gold.
Jesse met the love of his life, Becca, when she was 19 and he was 21. Anyone that knew them knew that they were meant for each other from the very beginning. Their young love grew into a deep and enduring desire to be together forever. They were married on November 20, 2021. They moved to Floyd, right across the road from Becca’s parents. It takes a strong and brave man to live that close to his mother-in-law, but Jesse was already like another son to her.
As they began their life together in their new home, they had many hopes and dreams for their future together. They were blessed with the most precious gift when their beautiful baby girl was born, on February 28th, 2023. Ellie Rose filled Becca and Jesse’s life with pure joy and love every single day. Ellie loves her “Dada” beyond words, and Jesse was thrilled when it was the first word she said. May his love for her always be felt in her heart.
Becca and Jesse’s life together was tragically cut short, but the true love will last forever. Jesse’s family is large and loving. Becca always wanted to find someone who had a close and special family. She found that with the beautiful Jones family. They embraced her from day one and love her as one of their own.
Lisa and Windell Jones are amazing parents who raised 2 sons who turned into 2 loving and kind men. Lisa’s tales of the mischief the two younger boys got into often left the family laughing. Andy was Jesse’s big brother and remained his confidant and best friend throughout his life. The bond and love between brothers can never be broken.
Jesse is preceded in death by grandfather, Howard and grandmother, Helen Jones; uncle, Buddy Jones and aunt, Peggy Hamlin.
Jesse is survived by the loves of his life, Becca Peters Jones and daughter Ellie Rose Jones (Floyd); parents, Windell and Lisa Jones (Blacksburg); brother, Andy (Holly) Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Carol Peters (Floyd); special brother-in-law, Bradley Peters (Floyd); grandparents, Hampton and Janice Smith (Blacksburg); uncles and aunts, Jeff (Brenda) Smith, Amy (Rusty) Vaden, Nancy Price, Louise Sumler, Barbara (Bobby) Scott; nephews, Levi, Whitt, Beau, and Bryland.; niece, Mea; cousins, Katie, Cody, Chip, Cory, Cole, other relatives, and many very special friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:00 P.M in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Joe Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Restvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Friday, February 16, 2024, from 3:00- 6:00 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
You were here for such a short time but will live in our hearts forever. We love you Jesse. Your light will continue to shine in the eyes of your sweet Ellie.

Becca, I am so sorry, he was always so nice to say hello simply because you were his wife and you said hello and that just always made an impression on me. Please know that the Vest family is here for you and your sweet girl.
