Jones, Calvin R.

Calvin R. Jones, 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at his home in Christiansburg surrounded by his family.

He was a member of the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren; a retired employee of First National Bank and Weiman Upholstery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Blake and Elizabeth C. Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Doris J. Jones; children, Wanda and Richard Basham and Brenda and Mark Vaught; stepchildren, Wanda and Ward Angle and Dwayne Bishop; grandchildren, Amy and Jay Kyle, Jason and Pam Basham, Justin Vaught and Emily Vaught; stepgrandchildren, Trey Angle and Caitlin Angle; greatgrandchildren, Marshall Basham and Hayden Kyle; sister, Anna Lee Lawrence; and beloved pets, Winston and Sweet Pea.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren with Pastor Don Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd County, Va.
