JARRETT, Homer Clyde Jr.

Homer Clyde Jarrett, Jr., D.D.S., 88, of Narrows, formerly of Charleston, West Virginia and Ocala, Florida, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg.

Dr. Jarrett was born January 28, 1918 in Charleston, where he practiced dentistry for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lee Ann Jarrett; father and mother, Homer Clyde Jarrett and Myrna Fisher Jarrett; a brother, Marion; a sister, Nannie Marie Price; and a stepson, Stephen Roby. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Charles Carnahan of Snohomish, Washington; a stepdaughter and her husband, Linda and Dean Short of Narrows, with whom he was living; seven grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; his sister, Ella May Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
