Huffman, Donald Reeves

Donald Reeves Huffman, 77, of Pembroke, and formerly of Newport Level Green Community, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006.

He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He also belonged to Level Green Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsey and Rettie D. Huffman and two sisters, Hazel Porterfield and Frances Echols.

Survivors include special friend and companion, Dolly Weiss; her children, Rita Young and Brenda and Sam Cheatwood; niece, Jannie Sue Keffer and husband, Alton; nephews, Ronnie D. Echols and wife, Cathy and Connie William Echols; grandniece, Shontia Echols; and grandnephew, Travis Echols.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
