HUBBARD, Ronald Linward

Ronald (Karate) Linward Hubbard, 58, of Riggs Street, Dublin, died Thursday, February 2, 2006 at the Highland Ridge Rehab.

He was born in Roanoke on January 6, 1948, the son of the late Percy C. Hubbard and Lula Miles Hubbard Hurst. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Curtis M. Hurst, and parents-in-law, Lewis and Elsie Boothe.

He was retired from the Cast Dept. at RAAP with 25 years of service and a member of the New River Baptist Temple in Radford. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, June Boothe Hubbard of Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Charles Dowdy of Dublin; two grandchildren, Diana and Wesley Dowdy of Dublin; sister-in-law, Betty Boothe and brother-in-law, Carl Boothe, both of Radford; stepmother, Verna “Nina” Linkous Hurst of Christiansburg; a stepbrother and his wife, Brady and Joann Linkous of N.C.; and a stepsister and her husband, Sue and Robert Gibbs.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Ricky Bolick officiating.
