Hubbard, Orby Lewis

Orby Lewis Hubbard, 90, of Hacker Valley, W.Va., and formerly of Patrick County, died Saturday, January 28, 2006. He was born September 13, 1915 and was a son of the late Thomas Alvis (Al) and Mary Etta Cockram Hubbard.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie Hubbard; brothers Frank Hubbard, Luther Hubbard and Earnest Hubbard; sisters Ruth Hubbard and Anna Mae Burnette; and a great-grandson, Joshua.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Hubbard of the home; and an ex-wife, Violet Hubbard; two sons, Coy Hubbard of Panama City, Fla. and Jackie Hubbard of Meadows of Dan; five daughters, Alreda Harvey of Chesapeake, Geneva Huff of Greensboro, N.C., Sylvia Radozycki of Moneta, Frances Hollandsworth of Floyd and Mabel Agee of Christiansburg;

two stepsons, Lonnie Lake and Charlie Lake, both of Lake of Repleta, W.Va.; three stepdaughters, India Mae Berkley of Stafford and Zelma Fisher and Reta Brown, both of Lake of Repleta; one sister, Irene Marsiglia of Baltimore, Md.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Skyline Pentecostal Holiness Church in Meadows of Dan by Rev. Mac Cassell. Burial was in the Mountain View United Methodist Church cemetery.

Arrangements were by Maberry Funeral Home in Floyd.
