Myrtle M. Howery, 89, of 707 N. Church St., Mount Pleasant, Pa., formerly of Princeton, W.Va. died on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the U.P.N.C. Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Born March 19, 1917 in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Lacy and Alice Wayne McGuire. She retired from Avon after 46 years of service. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christiansburg, Va.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Howery; three brothers, Arnold McGuire, Roy McGuire, and Harry Lee McGuire; and one sister, Claudine Hodge.

Survivors include, one daughter, Nancy Lee Dillon of Princeton, W.Va.; two sons, Robert Gene Howery and his wife, Peggy, of Cranberry, Pa., and Daniel Ray Howery and his wife, Shirley, of Clinton Township, Mich.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Evans of Bradley, W.Va., Pauline Wirt of Cambria, Va., and Melvina Hixon of Blacksburg, Va.; and one brother, Kyle McGuire of Riner, Va.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Jim Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton, W.Va. from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
