Michael Edward Howard Sr., 66, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010, at his home. Born on December 10, 1943, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Augustus Leo Howard Sr. and Margaret Clark Howard. One brother, Augustus Leo Howard Jr., also preceded him in death. He was a member of the Pulaski Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Frances Howard, of Pulaski; children, Margaret Clark, of Orange County, Va., Michael Edward Howard Jr. and Marina Meredith, of Pulaski, Patricia and David McGarry, of Amherst, Va., Johnathan and Stephanie Howard, of North Carolina; and David Howard, of Narrows, Va.; grandchildren, Rebekah, Sarah, Kelly, Dale, Jacob, Matthew, Timothy, Gabrielle, Elliot, Tessa and Gracie; greatgranddaughter, Guinivere; special grandchild , Cecil; sister, Peggy Schneider, of Maryland; and brother, Neil Howard, of Dublin. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at the Pulaski Church of Christ, Newbern Road with Minister Clarence Lavender officiating.
