Hinkley, Arnold W.
Arnold Walter Hinkley Sr., 80, of Radford, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 29, 2008, from his home. Born August 15, 1927, he was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mamie Hinkley; two sons, Arnold W. Hinkley Jr. and Steven Andrew Hinkley; brother, Clarence T. Hinkley; sister, Almeda Williams; also several half-brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 62 and one half years, Louise Hoback Hinkley, of Radford; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Carolyn and Fred Gilbert, of Pulaski, Judy and Gilbert Miles, of Radford, Wanda and Ernest Hamilton, of Christiansburg, Kay and Mitch Viers, of Radford, and Linda Lawson, of Christiansburg; two sisters, Kathleen Yopp, of Radford, and Dorothy Long, of Christiansburg; 12 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. James Walker, the Rev. Ersell Alderman and Brother Paul Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
Arnold was a wonderful and loving husband, dad, grandpa (Vern), friend, neighbor, always there for everyone. We will always love you. Jesus wrapped his loving arms around you and took you home.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2008, at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
